This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it and the choices you have.

Who we are

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details.
When you ask us to buy from you: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you want to sell.
When we need to check your identity: photo ID and proof of address.
When you pay or are paid: the bank details and references that appear on the transfer.
When you contact us: what you send us and our replies.
When you use the website: your internet address and technical details of your request, which we use to keep the site running and limit misuse.

Why we use it

To carry out our contract with you: to process, deliver and support your order, or to respond to and complete a sale to us.
To meet legal duties: to keep tax and accounting records, and to carry out identity and anti-money-laundering checks.
For our legitimate interests: to keep the website secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and deal with disputes.

We don't sell your information, and we won't send you marketing emails unless you've agreed to them. We don't make decisions about you using fully automated processes.

Who we share it with

Website hosting: Fly.io, which stores our website and order records on servers in London.
Email: Google, which provides our email service.
Website fonts: Google Fonts, which receives your internet address when your browser loads our text styles.
Delivery companies: your name, address and contact details, so they can deliver your order.
Banks, professional advisers and authorities: where needed for payments, advice or a legal duty, such as to HMRC or law enforcement.

Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep order and accounting records for at least 6 years for tax purposes, and identity check records for at least 5 years after the relationship ends. We keep enquiries that don't lead to a sale for up to 12 months. After that, we delete information unless we still need it for a legal reason.

Your basket

We save your basket in your own browser so it's still there when you come back. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

Reviews

Reviews on this site come from our Vinted seller account. We partly hide reviewers' usernames. If you left a review and would like it removed, contact us.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it. Some of these rights don't apply where we must keep information by law.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
